When I started researching candidates several weeks ago for the Lt. Governor’s race in North Carolina, I had already heard about Dan Forest from various friends. However, I really had no clue who this guy was that everyone was talking about. So I went to his website and I stumbled across this video. I thought to myself “Wow… this guy really gets it!”. I instantly knew this was the candidate I wanted to support. The more I’ve gotten to know about Dan, the more confident I’ve become that I made the right choice in supporting him. Let me tell you a little more about this candidate I have so much respect and admiration for.
Dan and his wife Alice are the homeschooling parents of four children. They are also strong Christians. Dan and Alice are both very likeable, humble, and easy to talk to. Dan is a very strong social and fiscal conservative. He has over 23 years of experience as a business leader, architect and entrepreneur. He is a former Senior Partner with one of North Carolina’s largest Architectural firms – Little Diversified Architectural Consulting – having served as President of the firm’s Durham office.
Dan holds two undergraduate degrees from UNC Charlotte and is a graduate of UNC Charlotte College of Architecture. He is the founder of the Triangle Leadership Forum where he serves as president of the board. Dan serves on the board of the North Carolina Committee of The Heritage Foundation, serves on the board of The Faith Driven Consumer and is the former chairman of the board of Wake Forest Pregnancy Support Services.
Dan has proven his commitment to the citizens of North Carolina by traveling 120,000 miles all across the state for the past year or so. To quote Dan: “If a politician doesn’t show up in your town before the election, they are certainly not going to show up afterward.” He has taken his message to the people and it has really resounded with them.
We have a leadership crisis in NC. It’s time to elect a leader who will serve the people and not just another “business as usual” self-serving politician. Dan has real solutions for the real problems we face in NC. I urge you to vote for Dan Forest tomorrow and tell all your friends to vote for him. Please spread the word. We need a strong visionary leader like Dan as Lt. Governor of NC!
It has been a tremendous honor to be involved in this campaign for the past few weeks. My only regret is not finding out about this outstanding candidate sooner. I feel so blessed to be a very small part of this campaign. I’ve met so many amazing people and learned so much. The future of this country is in good hands so long as there are such folks as the “Run, Forest, Run” team!
